That’s right, folks!

In case you missed it, applications are open through the end of April for anyone interested in being sent on an “ambassadorial visit” to Forres, Scotland!

While Student Exchanges are no longer our focus, we believe person-to-person connections are still the best way forward in maintaining this beautiful, decades-long relationship!

With that in mind, we are excited to start sending Mount Dorans across the pond again in order to keep building on this foundation of cross-cultural understanding and peace.

If you’re interested, take some time to think about what you’d like to DO in Forres (the sky is the limit! If you can dream up a way to personally strengthen the tie between our towns, then you should apply!), and then get the application back to us by April 30. (No need to have connections there yet–we can help with those!)

The scholarship recipient will be chosen based on a variety of criteria by a small panel of MDSCA officers, members, and a Forres Twinning representative.

Announcement of scholarship recipient will be made on May 15th, and travel will take place between July 2026 and July 2027.
